1 In the name of God Amen
2 I John Cantrill of Frimley in the County of Surrey Potter being in
3 good and perfect memory praised be god doe make this my last will and
4 testament in manner and forme following vizt First I commend my soule
5 into the hands of the Almighty God my only Maker and Redeemer hopeing
6 that through the merritts of my only Saviour Christ Jesus that it shalbe placed
7 in the joyes of heaven And my body I committ to the earth whereof it was
8 made to be buried in Christian buriall according to the discretion of my
9 executrix, As for that temporall state the Lord hath lent me I give and
10 bequeath as followeth vizt Item I give and bequeath to John Cantrill my Sonne
11 three score poundes of lawful mony and to be paid to him within six weekes
12 next after my decease. Item I give more to my said sonne one bed and
13 bedstead with all thereto belonging which standeth in the chamber over the
14 parlour Item I give to my said sonne all my weareing apparrell Item I
15 give to my sonne William Cantrill twelve pence Item I give to Richard
16 Cantrill my sonne twelve pence Item I give to Jane Addams my daughter
17 twelve pence Item I give to the poore of Frimley twenty Shillings and to bee
18 divided amongst them by my executrix the next Lords day after my buriall
19 All the rest of my goods and chattells ungiven and not bequeathed I give and
20 bequeath to Elizabeth Cantrill my wife whom I doe make my sole executrix
21 And I desire my loveing friends Richard Gates of Westwood and Thomas
22 Watts senior of Frimley to be my Overseers to set this my last will and
23 testament well and truly performed And for their paines therein taken
24 I give to each of them three Shillings four pence apeece In wittnes wherof
25 I the said John Cantrill have hereunto sett my hand and seale the eighteenth
26 day of August Anno Domini 1651. the marke of John Cantrill Sealed and
27 delivered in the presence of William Browne the marke of John Eades
28 This will was proved at London before William Clarke Doctor of Laws
29 and Surrogate of Sir Nathaniel Brent knight and also Doctor of Laws
30 Master or Keeper of the Prerogative Court the two and twentieth day of
31 November in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred fifty
32 one by the oath of Elizabeth Cantrill the relict of the said Deceased and executrix
33 named in the said will to whom was committed administration of all and
34 singular the goods chattells and debts of the said Deceased she being first
35 legally sworne well and truly to administer the same
