1 In the name of God Amen I Roberte Hall the elder of Cove in the pishe of yatleye
2 in the countye of Southt Potter, In my best healthe well knowing the mortality of all
3 fleshe and nowe by this my presente visitation being graciouslye put in minde by my
4 heavenly father, of the frayltye and incertentye of this lyfe, w(i)th full Resolution and
5 willingness of minde to leave this presente worlde, when yt shall please god to Call me ,doe
6 nowe in my p(er)fecte memorye publishe this to be my last will and Testament in Manner &
7 fforme following And ffirst and above all thinges I commende my soule unto my gracious
8 and loving god with full assurance Throughe the merits and passion of Christe my
9 Redeemer To have all my sinnes forgiven me And to be p(ar)taker of lyfe everlasting, And
10 my bodie I committ to ye earthe wherof yt was made, And as concerning the disposinge
11 of theise earthlye blessinges wherof yt hath pleased god of his goodnesse, To lende me a
12 Temporall proportion my minde is as followethe, ffirst I give and Bequeathe unto the
13 cathederall Church of winton iijd Item I give unto my daughter Marye Pullens
14 five poundes of lawfull englishe moneye, Item I give to my daughter Annis
15 Eaves my Cottage with the -ackside which I boughte of Richarde Heather
16 lyinge in Westheath ande in ye pishe of yatleye w(i)th thaptenances to her during
17 her natural lyfe, And Afterwards To the heires of her bodye lawfullye begotten

19 It I give To my doughter Mary Pullens sonne Henrye Pullen one bullock
20 of ayeare oulde, It I give to my god sonnes Roberte Reaves and Roberte May
21 twelve pence apece of Them, Item I give to my welbelovede wyfe Margaret
22 Hall my house and all my free houldelande with Thaptenances duringe her
23 Naturall lyfe, And after her disceas To my sonne Roberte Hall and to his heires
24 and assignes forver, Payinge To my doughter Annis Eaves sixe and twentye
25 shillings and eighte pence ayeare yearelye out of my ffreehouldelande duringe
26 Her Naturall lyfe my will and minde is that she shall it paide quarterlye
27 That is to saye everye quarter of ye yeare Sixe shillings and eight pence
28 of goode and lawfull englishe moneye, for wante of paymente hereof yt shall and
29 maye be lawfull To and for my saide doughter Annis Eaves her Assignes for to
30 enter and distraigne uppon anye pte or p(ar)sell of my freehoulde lande, And the distress
31 or distresses then or there or taken lawfullye, To leade drive impounde or take
32 untill suche time the saide yearlye Rente of sixe shillings and eighte
33 pence with arerages if anye suche be shalbe unto the saide Annis eaves
34 fullye satisfyede contented and paide, Item the rest of all goodes and Chattels not
35 given nor bequeathede my debtes paide and my legacies dischargede I give and be
36 queathe unto my welbelovede wyfe Margarett Hall and my sonne Roberte hall
37 Whome I doe make my whole executors of this my laste Will and Testamente, Item I
38 doe appointe and ordaine my welbeloved ffrindes my Brothers in lawe John Rogers
39 and Henrye Rogers To be my overseers to see that my will may be p(er)formed, And I doe
40 give to eache of them for their paines That thaye shall take herein Tenn shillinges
41 a peace of them, In Witnesse whereof I have putte and sette my hande the Nine and
