1 In the name of God amen the Third day of the
2 monnethe of december Anno Domini 1581 and in the xxiiiith
3 year of the quenes majesties Regne I Richard Wryghte of
4 Farnborowe in the countie of South being sicke
5 of bodie but whole and perffect in remembrance
6 thanks be to god Doo make and ordeyne my last will and
7 testament in manner and forme following First I
8 bequeathe my soule to almyghtie god my creator and
9 redeemer and my bodie to be buried in the Churchyard
10 of Farneborowe Item I bequeathe to the mother Church
11 of Winton iid Item I give unto Alice Wright my
12 brothers daughter fourtie shillings to be paide within one
13 yere after my deceasse Item I give unto Elizabeth Wright
14 my brothers daughter twentie shillings to be paide within
15 one yere after my deceasse Item I give unto my sister
16 Elizabethe Fourtie Shillinges to be paide within one yere
17 Item I give unto my daughter Annes foure poundes
18 fourteene Shillingsand four pens which in her grande
19 father Robert Gonners handes to be paid at xxi yeres
20 of her age or at the day of her mariage which of them do o
21 happen to come first Item I doo give more unto the
22 same Annes fourtie Shillings to be paid within one yere
23 Whereof I will and ordeyne my sonne Robert Wright
24 to paye tenne Shillings and myne executrix the other
25 thirtie Shillings Item I give unto Steven Gonner
26 three pounds to be paide within one yere Item I
27 give to my sonne Roberte Wrighte all the timber and
28 Wodde lying and standing without the ground that
29 I occupye Item more sixe loades of Claye / Item I give
30 to Henrie Shorter two loades of Claye, my kill and
31 one potting whele Item I give unto Steven Gon-
32 ners daughter one calfe worthe fyve Shillinges
33 Item I give unto my sonne Robert the brasse pot that
34 was his grand fathers and the greate claye troughe
35 Item all the reste of my goodes and cattels what
36 soever not bequeathed as above I leave bequeathe
37 and give to Marie my wiffe whom I make
38 my full and sole executrix And I make Robert
39 Thair and Richard Sawyer myne overseers to see
40 this my laste will performed and I bequeathe to
41 eache of them iijs iiiid a pece This my laste
42 will & testament I have made in forme as above
43 before Roberte Billinghorste Steven Gonner
44 and John Pewton as witnesses thereunto called
Probate granted at Winchester 19 April 1582 to Moses Littleboy of Wokingham in "Com Barkes clothier et Richus Sawyer de Farnbrough yeoman". The first named of course raises further questions.
