Manor of Frimley

The Manorial Documents Register gives a reasonably extensive list of manorial documents for Frimley surviving from before 1700:

Phil Stevens of the Surrey Heath History Club is one of the increasingly rare people who can both read 17th century writing and translate the Latin text (often heavily abbreviated) into modern English. Some years ago Phil translated all the 17th century court rolls for Frimley when he was preparing his book on Tudor & Stuart Surrey Heath. The original court rolls are available in Latin on microfilm at the Surrey History Centre in Woking. Phil has loaned me his original typescripts and I have extracted some of the entries relating to the Gunner/Gonner family of Frimley.

Extracts relating to Robert Gunner, potter of Frimley, died 1637

Extracts relating to potters working in Frimley

I have retyped Phil's translation exactly except for the substitution of the usual word surrenders for Phil's translation returns.
