1 In the name of God
2 Amen The eigthteenth day of February in the yeare of our Lord God
3 one thousand six hundred fifty seaven I Robert Hall of Cove in the parish
4 of Yately in the County of Southton Potter being in perfect health and of good sound
5 & perfect mind and remembrance I heartily thanke Almighty God for it doe make and
6 declare this my last will and Testament in manner and forme Following That is to say
7 First and principally I Commend my soule into the hands of Almighty God my Creator ###
8 hopeing and Confidently trusting in his mercy through the merritts Death and bitter
9 passion of his Deare Sonne and my only Saviour Jesus Christ to obtain remission &
10 forgiveness of all my sinnes and #####all life in the world which is to come and
11 my body I appointe to be buried at the discrecon of my Executor hereunder named
12 and as for my worldly goods the which it hath pleased the Lord to send mee I
13 dispose of the same in manner and forme Following That is to say I give and
14 bequeath unto Margarett my Loveing Wife Forty shillings of lawfully money of
15 England my bald mare and one of my blacke heiffers which is now aboute two yeares
16 old and the use of one bedsteade and the bedd bedding and all other furniture
17 thereunto belonging for and dureing the terme of her naturall life provided
18 Alwaies that shee give a good security to my Executor hereunder before shee move
19 it out of the house to restore it thither againe for the use within one month next
20 after her decease Item I give and bequeath unto my Eldest daughter Margarett
21 the now wife of Henry Turner of Yately aforesaid Lynnen ###### five shillings
22 of Lawful English money and unto their Children that is to say Henry John &
23 Richard tenne shillings apeece to bee paid unto them and every one of them
24 or for their ###### of their useor uses unto the said Henry Turner their
25 father within one month next after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my
26 youngest daughter Mary Hall eight poundes of lawfull money of England to
27 bee paid unto her within six months next after my decease and I give more
28 unto her one bedstead one bed and all furniture thereunto belonging to bee
29 delivered unto her when shee please Item All the Rest of my goods and Chattells
30 herein before not given and bequeathed I give and bequeath unto my sonne
31 Robert Hall whome I make and ordaine full and whole Executor of this my
32 last Will and Testament desireing him to pay my debts amd Legacies in manner
33 and forme as is aforesaid And thus our Lord have mercy on mee In witness
34 whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seale the day and yeare First above
35 written Robert Hall Sealed published and declared by the Testator Robert
36 Hall to bee his true and last Will and Testament in the presence of us
37 Edward Rabnatt Th marke of Willlam Lund (both surnames difficult to decipher)
38 This will was proved att London The fifteenth
39 day of September in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred fifty
40 nine Before the Judges for probate of wills and granting Administrations
41 lawfully authorized by the oath of Robert Hall the sonne of the said deceased
42 and Sole Executor named in the said Will To Whome Administration of all &
43 Singular the goods chattells and debts of the said deceased was graunted and
44 Committed hee being First sworne truely to Administer the same according to
45 the tenor and effect of the said Will
