Twelve October year of our Lord 1593
1 In the name of God amen I Richarde
2 Dee Potter of Lambethe being sicke in bodye but of perfect minde and memorye Doe
3 make constitute and ordayne this my Last will and testament in manner and forme following
4 First and chiefly I bequeath my sawle unto thands of Almighty God assuredly thinking (?) to be
5 saved by and throughe the meanes of Jesus Christ our Soveraigne Lord and Saviour And my bodye
6 to be buried at the descrecion (?) of my Wyfe in the Churche. Item I give and bequeathe unto John Hampton
7 tenne of my bordes and one of my wheles. Item I give unto my man George Webster tenne Shillings
8 in money. Item I give and bequeath unto Robert Dee of London my cosen in good will my Cloake
9 Finally I give and bequeath unto Margaret my Wyfe during her naturall all my Copyhold
10 Lands in John Hamptons handes whiche is twelve acres in Farneborowes And if then after her
11 Decease to come unto him self because he bought it of me for twenty to conveye (?) it after
12 both our deceases. Also twoe acres of Lande freehold with an house garden and orchard belonging
23 thereunto with all appurtenances proffitts or comodities whatsoever The whiche Landes and
24 house garden and orcharde after her Decease I give unto John Nashe the sonne of
25 John Nashe of the parishe of Yeatlye in the County of Hampton Also my house at Lambeth that
26 I now dwell in with all woode timber Claye household stuff Chattells moveables and unmoveables
27 whatever that is or ought to belonge of Right unto me by evidence or otherwise as namely those
28 Debtes in the backside of my Will written And lastly I make constitute and ordayne Margaret
29 my Wyfe to be my full and sole executrix of this my Last will and testament And I humbly praye
30 my good frendes Harry Creswell and Mr Steward and Mr Dee the preacher to be my overseers
31 to see as faire forthe as Lyeth in them to see my Debts Discharged, and the one debt to be recovered
32 and my buriall honestly furnished with good entertayment of my neighbours Signed with my hande
33 and sealed with my seale this twelveth Daye of October Richard Dee his marke Witnesses

42 of Cove in Surrey oweth me twenty six shillings eight pence John Gunner oweth me four
43 shillings eighte pence There is owing me at tower for five hundred of Claye and brickes
44 thirtene shillings foure pence And other things of my #### my good friends Henry Creswell oweth
